From Monday, we’re launching a visibility campaign where you can get to know 6 Jambas. They will talk about their successes, challenges, doubts, perspectives and experiences with JAMA.
We designed the videos together, inclusively. It was attended by people who feel a sense of social responsibility and who are brave enough to come forward and talk about their vulnerabilities. We really enjoyed working, planning, thinking and reflecting together – we became a real team in the process.
First up (on Monday), meet Brigi, who wrote the following summary of our launch campaign:
“In order to break the stereotypes that the general public tends to give us, Jamba created a campaign this summer to raise awareness that, despite the limitations we live with, with a little help, empathy and understanding, we can break them down and become full members of society. This week, we’ll hear from some of the more adventurous Jambas who have already been helped in some way by the team – or who have helped Jambas – about how they do this and how they work with Jambas. We hope to reach many people with this initiative and bring us a little closer as people and Jamba as a helping hand.
Jamba’s mission is to help people with disabilities, or people with any kind of disability, to find a job that suits them, or even just to integrate into society. I would like people – including employers – who do not have the same difficulties to treat us, the people affected, as they would a healthy person. For this reason, I think their activities are a niche in the country.”
The videos are available on our YouTube channel, click and meet the participating Jambos!
The visibility project was supported by JDC, and we would like to thank them for their support!
