A Prezi a SignCoders and the Jamba are once again launching a joint IT workshop specifically for people with disabilities. The aim is to prepare software testing professionals with competitive skills for employment in the open labour market. We aim to make the programme accessible for all participants.

Important information: visually impaired participants are also welcome to apply, but will be able to join our next (in development) programme specifically designed for them at a later date.

What does a software tester do?

The tester is responsible for quality assurance. He is the person who ensures that the entire software development process is carried out to produce a near-perfect product in terms of user experience.

Who are we looking for?

  • Young adults with variable working capacity (aged between 18 and 45, women are particularly welcome)
  • Good written communication skills
  • Creativity, out-of-the box thinking
  • Analytical mindset, good problem-solving skills
  • Empathy, flexibility, curiosity with good problem-solving skills
  • User level English (Not required for speaking, presentations will be in English. English is essential for using the software.)
  • Commitment to follow through the programme
  • Can you imagine working in this field afterwards

  • Application process
    • Jamba web application interface register (if you have not already done so) and send us a separate emailto jelentkezes@jambajobs.org by 24.03.2023, to tell us why you would like to participate in the workshop series, why you would be a good software tester, what motivates you.
    • You can expect two rounds of interviews, a first one with the Jamba team and a second one with Prezi
    • If we like your application and you have convinced us of your suitability and motivation, we will select you for the workshop and you can start learning!
    • In case of oversubscription, the strongest candidates will be selected on the basis of written applications and interviews. In case of high interest, we hope that we will have the opportunity to offer the opportunity to further applicants in the future.
  • Workshop duration: 8 weeks, 3 hours per week
  • Date of the workshop: 2023. April-May Wednesdays 17:00-20:00
  • Location: online sessions on Zoom or 1-2 face-to-face meetings
  • Number of participants: max. 12 persons
  • Participation fee: 40.000 forints (scholarship places are available on an equitable basis)
