Train the Trainer Academy
international project, we are now looking for young people with disabilities/disabilities who would like to participate in a mentoring process where trained volunteer mentors provide them with individualised support to achieve their career goals.
What happens during the programme?
- Individual interviews: after the application deadline, we will invite you for a short interview to learn more about you and your goals, and to decide together whether mentoring will really be useful for you
- First mentor-mentee meeting: where you will be introduced to your chosen mentor and together we will discuss your individual goals and how you would like to plan your mentoring sessions. If you mutually decide that you would like to work together, you can then start working together
- 12 weeks of regular meetings with your mentor, online or in person
- At the end of the process, we will conclude the programme together, and you can consult the Jamba team if necessary.
Who are we looking for?
- young people aged 18-29 with disabilities/disabled people who are not currently working or who want to progress in their careers
What do we ask of participants?
- Commitment to active participation in the full programme
- An openness to develop and learn new things
- Cooperation with your mentor
What are the benefits of mentoring?
- It is an opportunity to think about your career and professional development goals;
- Your mentor can also help you with specific things, such as writing a cover letter, looking for a job or accompanying you to a job interview;
- You will work with a skilled, empathetic mentor who will help you achieve your goals, tailored just for you;
- You can experience what it’s like when they relate to you as partners, without prejudice;
- You can make new relationships that may even last longer;
- You can also gain momentum, motivation and inspiration from your mentor thanks to their new ideas, different experiences and insights
