2026 is the year of the Skilly Circle – because no one should have to be alone
A key goal of Skilly is for people with disabilities to become active members of real communities. In Skilly’s activities and community programmes, everything is about showing that partnership, acceptance, and equality are not privileges, but core values. In 2026, we would like as many people as possible to adopt this mindset.
In all its activities, Skilly strives to ensure that people with disabilities can experience being partners: that they, too, are authentic, independent, visible, and valuable individuals.
The Skilly Circle: where it feels good to be together
At the community events of the Skilly Circle, we also bring this partnership-based approach: we meet every month in an accessible, safe space where connection, fun, and sharing experiences are at the centre.
Because inclusion does not only start at the workplace, but where we listen to each other and where it simply feels good to be together – where people with and without disabilities take part side by side, as equals.
At the accessible community programmes of the Skilly Circle, everyone can feel at home – whether it’s a quiz night, a retro board game session, or a picnic.

Dismantling invisible barriers
We often don’t even think about how many things are needed for someone to truly be able to take part in a community event like this. A ramp, a sign language interpreter, an assistant, a suitably designed space – they may seem like small details, yet they determine whether someone is “in the circle” or left outside.
Skilly is working to make sure that these “small details” are not obstacles, but gateways. So that community events can truly be for everyone.
With lots of care and attention
The sustaining power of a community is not automatically available to everyone. For many people with disabilities, it is still difficult to enter spaces where they are not only present, but also visible, heard, and recognised as valuable members of the community.
Organising events like these is more than just booking a venue and planning a programme: it requires accessible infrastructure, interpretation, assistants, and a great deal of human attention.
New momentum for the Skilly Circle in the New Year!
In 2026, Skilly wants to strengthen and expand the Skilly Circle – the community where people with reduced work capacity can experience partnership, equality, and genuine connection in a safe, accepting space.
Our campaign aims to bring together supporters who will help make six additional community events possible in 2026. As everyone prepares for the new year, the Skilly Circle can also gain fresh momentum.
One event costs 200,000 HUF in total.
You can support a whole event or even several events – and if you can only contribute partially to the costs, we are grateful for that too.

community events is the open, positive atmosphere that connects everyone. These occasions are always full of positive energy and openness, they are a real recharge for me,” says Floransz Érdi, one of the participants of the Skilly Circle. The Skilly Circle means not only recharging, but also a sustaining force: it helps process everyday difficulties, creates new friendships, and strengthens the visibility of the community.
Join, support, connect
Help this community remain alive, sustaining, and visible in 2026 as well. Because real change begins where people connect with one another, listen to each other, and can experience the feeling: I am Ánot alone.
